Wedding Players

We want to thank all of our wedding participants. It wouldn't be the same without the help and excitement from each of you.

Irene Morgan

Grandmother of the Bride

My grandmother is the best in the entire world. Grandma is the most active octogenarian I know. Grandma loves to dance, walk, play tennis and toast to Martini's. She lives in St. Mary's on the Wicomico River, in a home that posesses many of my childhood memories that took place at the fireplace, pool, and bar.

Gail Morgan

Mother of the Bride

I have absolutely loved the time I have spent with my "Mutti" during this time of planning. She has been fantastic helping me. Mutti is an extremely interesting person who has a pilot's license, has traveled to many exotic and dangerous places around the world, and loves to enjoy life to the fullest with Manhattan in hand! Many would say that we are like twins...and in many ways we are. For that, I am forever thankful.

Morgan Day

Brother of the Bride

No one but Morgan would be more suited to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. Morgan is my oldest brother and I  have leaned on him more times than I can remember...now I get to lean on him one last time...as he walks me down the aisle.

We have always been close, but not necessarily by proximity. Morgan lives in Munich, Germany where he enjoys his zest for life. He also splits his time between Munich and Mallorca, Spain, where he has a summer home.

Lynne Calligaro

Matron of Honor/Annie's Friend

I met Lynne back in the late 90's when we both worked at the same company. We instantly became friends. Lynne is my shoulder to cry on when I need her to tell me what I want to hear :) Many margaritas, bottles of wine, and spa trips later...we are still best buds. Cheers!!

Kathy Milligan

Annie's Friend / Bridesmaid

I met Kathy over 13 years ago because she answered an ad in the Post for a roommate, and we became such. Unbeknowdnst to me, Kathy would become one of my best friends. She has been my emotional rock thru thick and thin...and she never fails to make me laugh and feel good about myself :)

Shirley Carrick

Mother of the Groom

Mom lives in Virginia Beach and enjoys gardening, doing volunteer work, and lounging around the pool in her spare time.

Ken Yagen

Best Man/Steve's Friend

Ken and I have known each other for over 25 years now and he has known Annie even longer. He is truly my best man. It was Ken who invited me up to D.C. for the weekend to stay with a family friend (Annie), and he is the one who introduced me to the woman who would eventually become my bride.

Dwayne Brauner

Groomsman/Steve's Friend

I have known Dwayne for about 10 years now and I am proud to call him my friend. Dwayne and I share a kindred affection for B-movies and without Dwayne I would have missed classics like "Flight of the Living Dead" and the "House of 1000 Corpses."

Mike Day

Annie's Brother / Usher

Affectionately known as "Miguel", my second oldest brother, Mike, is a savvy business man and out-doorsy kinda guy. He lives in the Outer Banks of NC, and enjoys fishing (Big Game) and being anywhere on the water. Mike splits his time between the Outer Banks and Norfolk, VA, where he has a showroom furniture store.

I have enjoyed many a redneck bbq's on the beach, fishing trips, clamming, and bike rides down in Hatteras with Mike.

Garrett Day

Annie's Half Brother / Usher

My younger half-brother, Garrett is graduating from JMU (congratulations!) and moving to Northern Virginia. I'm so happy that he will be in my same town. I cannot wait to teach Garrett my old stomping grounds and show him around the Nation's Capital.

David Day

Annie's Uncle / Reading

My uncle David is a sculptor and lives in Arizona. He is my Father's younger (by less than a year) brother and probably most resembles my Dad. David is a funny, easy-going dude...and I love to share memories with him about my Father. Oh, the stories he can tell :)

Bridgett Day

Annie's Half Sister / Reading

My half-sister, Bridgett, is beautiful, artistic and has a magnetic personality. I would say she also has a 'thing' for fashion...and is the only persons I know that has bigger glam glasses than I do!

Julie Gathings

Steve's Sister / Reading

Julie taught me about the importance of enjoying life and spending quality time with family and friends. She works hard being a mother to her children and a wife to her husband. Yet she still finds the time to travel, take vacations, visit with friends and relatives, and enjoy the occasional football game.

Haley Morgan

Annie's Cousin / Flowergirl

Haley lives in Colorado and loves to spend time in the garden with her mom..she loves Roses. She aspires to be a Vetrinarian when she "grows up" and that is apparent by her love for kitty cats and all things furry.

Jack Gathings

Steve's Nephew / Ringbearer

Jack is my oldest nephew. He turns 5 this month and lives in Kansas City with his family. Jack's interests include banging matchbox cars together and playing with Legos™.
